Do you have the skills, time or patience that you could share with members of CRCB?
"I had some spare time and started coming here for one day a week. I have found that using my skills to help others is a real thrill and on top of that, I am learning so much in return."
Without the kind support of our volunteers, Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind would be unable to provide the range of services, activities, and support to people with visual and dual sensory impairments that we currently deliver.
We are immensely grateful to all our existing volunteers, but of course we always welcome more!
Whatever your interests and skills, your support would be of value to the Resource Centre. In return, we hope you will benefit from developing new skills, enjoying new experiences, accessing training opportunities, as well as being in the knowledge that you are making a real difference to people’s lives.
Perhaps you are seeking a new challenge? Do you wish to develop new skills, build confidence and make new friends? Whether you are in employment, unemployed, between jobs ,or studying, we endeavour to tailor opportunities to your circumstances.
What can we offer our volunteers?
- Access to training opportunities
- Reimbursement of expenses
- Opportunities to develop new skills and experiences
- A flexible and supportive working environment
- Opportunities to socialise with other volunteers and staff
- Opportunities to build confidence and self esteem
- Chances to make a real difference to people’s lives
