On Saturday 24th June we held our first Table Top Sale at Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind.
The tables in the Mary Beale room, at the back of the Resource Centre, were set up with a range of goods. Everything was priced cheap and cheerfully - our aim was to sell the donations, which we had collected throughout the year, at a fair price to raise money for CRCB.
A steady stream of people came to look at what was for sale; people bought CDs, books, paintings, scarves and crockery, among many other things. It was exciting to see so many new faces coming through the door, among them lots of people from the Earlsdon community.
One of our wonderfully helpful volunteers, Elaine Parnell, greeted customers at the front of the Resource Centre on the plant stall.
While inside the Mary Beale room, staff and Trustees did the waiting-for-customers dance between sales.
Overall, we raised a fantastic £220. As this was our first ever Table Top Sale, we are delighted that so many people took an interest.
We would like to thank the dedicated volunteers, who came and helped out on the day and everyone who helped with the preparation.
We are already planning the next one - watch this space!
