Summer Garden Party

CRCB Garden Blooms With Visitors, Music & Cream Tea

On Saturday 12th August we hosted our biggest event of the summer: CRCB Summer Garden Party.

As our doors opened at 12pm, CRCB staff were ready to greet members of the community. Around 120 people called into the Resource Centre to listen to music, buy cakes or crafts and to enjoy the delicious afternoon tea.

Mahendra, Kadence and Nadia stepped in at the last minute to provide us with uplifting music. Trustee/Manager Rosie Brady says "They were brilliant." We really appreciated having them play at our Summer Garden Party.

Our Craft Group had a beautifully decorated stall. They work hard throughout the year, preparing for our events and always manage to raise an impressive amount for CRCB.

Trustee/Manager Tricia Griffiths prepared the Afternoon Tea. Along with the help of volunteers, Tricia served beautifully presented, and great tasting, sandwiches, quiches and cakes. At every event we are grateful for Tricia's generosity and amazing culinary skills. As you can see below, our visitors could not wait to tuck in!

Our volunteers worked extremely hard to make sure the day ran smoothly. We would like to say a big thank you to the volunteers who made the day such a success. In total we managed to raise £1107.75, an incredible result!

It was great to see lots of new faces and to catch up with our regulars. Thank you to everyone who came along and donated to CRCB.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event.
