CRCB had fun fundraising at Earlsdon Festival
On Monday 1st May we took part in the incredibly popular Earlsdon Festival to raise money for Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind.
Trustee/Managers Rosie Brady and Tricia Griffiths, along with the help of minibus driver John McFadden, were up bright and early on bank holiday Monday to set up our stall in front of Lloyds Bank on the Earlsdon High Street.
The stall was filled with prizes for the tombola and hand-made goods made by the CRCB Craft Group.
It was an extremely busy day with a constant flow of people visiting our stall to have a go on the tombola and browse the table of crafts. We managed to share the work we do at Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind with lots of new people in the community.
Thanks to people's generosity, we raised £528, which we are delighted with!
We really couldn't thank our committed team of volunteers enough; John McFadden, Debs Hewitt, Judith Missenden, Sinéad Brady, Ed Goodwin and Nuala Grocott were all willing to get stuck in by motivating the crowd to have a go on the tombola and greeting the public with a warm welcome.
Of course, in their usual style, Trustee/Managers Rosie Brady and Tricia Griffiths worked tirelessly from open until close - thank you both for your phenomenal work. A special thank you to Tricia for the packed lunches which you provided for all of the volunteers!
Earlsdon Festival was a huge success for CRCB, one we are keen to repeat next year.
