CRCB finishes the Walkathon in style

On Sunday 14th May a group of twelve walkers assembled at the Memorial Park, ready to join the hundreds of people who were taking part in the Walkathon, organised by the Leofric Lions. All walkers had been working tirelessly to collect sponsors and today was the day they would walk alongside other dedicated fundraisers.

It was a mild, dry day - perfect for fancy dress! Long-term service user and friend of the Resource Centre, Edwina Millis, arrived elegantly dressed as Jane Eyre. She wore a beautiful purple dress and hat accompanied by a lace parasol. Naturally, Edwina won a prize for Best Fancy Dress costume. We could not be happier for her! With Edwina's passion for fashion, she never fails to astound us at the Walkathon.

We would like to thank the Leofric Lions for organising yet another successful event. You were very helpful at guiding people with vision impairments.

We have just completed the process of collecting donations and are delighted to announce that we managed to raise an incredible £1587. We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part and to those who sponsored our walkers.
